All that we are is... Entwined.
A wise man by the name of Wes Molebash suggested I should write a comic about my dating life. I've since become convinced, he's right.
I've decided to re-brand LOP and change the premise. I recently had been listening to Jason Reeves "Entwined". I think it's a great song and the word "Entwined" to me is an interesting word. And an even better title to my new comic strip. There is a bit of art imitating life or imitating those hopes of possibilities that may or may not ever come to fruition. But, my love of writing and drawing has never been any stronger then it is today. If all things come to fruition, this source of inspiration could become an endless well. Of that I have no doubt. With some patience, perhaps those hopes and thoughts could become mutual.
You see, I am horrible at dating. I spent the majority of my adult life in the same relationship. 12 years is a long time with one person and it stunted my ability to be that cool guy who can wait the three days before calling after the first date. I'm use to knowing where somewhere is coming from. There is no mystery after 12 years. You know how that person feels about you. Of course with dating. It's the mystery of all mysteries. When I like someone I want to let them know. But, these days, if you do it you may appear as some freak of nature. I wear my feelings on my sleeve. I hide nothing. To a fault. I am 33 years old and I am ready to "fall in love...forever." I'm a hopeless romantic. I believe in that kind of love you see in movies and in comic strips in this case.
I want to give my all to that special someone. I'm ready. I'm reaching out. She's within my finger tips. (Somewhere deep down, I feel that to be true) I only wonder. Is she willing to return my reach???
Stay tuned.
I also believe now that all dates should happen on an Ice Rink. Plenty of moments for chivalry and perfect for uninterrupted conversation. :)

Somewhere (She's Real)
Somewhere she's real. There's someone out there for everyone. This song speaks to that...
Somewhere (she’s real)
Somewhere, there’s that special someone
Who will make all of my dreams go away
‘Cause there’ll be no need to dream at night,
when she’ll be my dreams every day
Somewhere, she’s the missing chemistry
Who will finish sentences for me
And somewhere, she’s thinking too
That someday, some how, we are meant to be
She’s a favorite flavor waiting to be tasted
And a perfect picture waiting to be taken
She’s a ghost that I can feel
And just maybe, Somewhere she’s real
Somewhere there’s someone waiting impatiently
Somewhere I hope they’re waiting for me
Someday…possibly…somewhere…maybe
Someone’s meant for someone like me
Somewhere, there’s an irresistible smile
Waiting to always change my mind
And somewhere, she’s saying all the right words
That are always hard to find
Somewhere, there’s going to be a rendezvous
Don’t know when, don’t know who
And somewhere, she’s thinking the same
That someday, somehow, I will meet you
She’s a favorite flavor waiting to be tasted
And a perfect picture waiting to be taken
She’s a ghost that I can feel
And just maybe, Somewhere she’s real
Somewhere there’s someone waiting impatiently
Somewhere I hope they’re waiting for me
Someday…possibly…somewhere…maybe
Someone’s meant for someone like me
She’s a favorite flavor waiting to be tasted

Sample Poem
Something different. I've been writing more lately and figured I could add this to the blog as it has been too long...
I only know a peddle of her beautiful flower
And a minute or two of her splendid hour
She’s a crescent moon on a cool August night
And a partial puzzle, where the pieces fit just right
I only know the first few pages of her amazing story
And I can’t wait till she’s standing there before me
She’s my inner child’s Christmas morning anticipation
And my first time skydiver’s hesitation
I only know a peddle of her beautiful flower
And a minute or two of her splendid hour
She’s a crescent moon on a cool August night
And a partial puzzle, where the pieces fit just right
I only know the first few pages of her amazing story
And I can’t wait till she’s standing there before me
She’s my inner child’s Christmas morning anticipation
And my first time skydiver’s hesitation

Frederator RAW
Federator Studios have brought us the likes of the Fairly Odd Parents, Chalk Zone and Oh Yeah! Cartoons to name a few. Over at Frederator.com they have a "forum" based site "Frederator RAW" to allow amateur animators like myself and the professionals to post pictures and video to the site, with a Myspace kind of vibe.
If they like what they see they'll feature it in their podcast. And it doesn't hurt to get your stuff out in an area that professionals of the animation industry can see. I just became a card carrying member just a few days ago. I encourage you to check out the site. You can get to it by clickity-click-clicking the badge located over there on the right. No a little more over to the right, yeah thats it. I have posted a few images from Martin the Spartan. Nothing that you can't see here, but if your into animation, you should check-it-out.

Prototype Minion
Every villain needs minions. Lots of them. In Martin the Spartan, that is definitely the case. Here is a concept of a minion I have been working on. Based from the Ancient Egyptian god Seth.
Update! Final design for the minion and its official name... Sutekh Drone.
